Joe Mag And The Kool Kats .......................................................................................................................Song List
is a jazz quintet for listening or dancing. The music of the Kool Kats draws heavily from the library of Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, with a good helping of Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Mel Torme, Louis Prima and others, to deliver that cool, swingin', Vegas-style, "Rat Pack" sound. Also, deserving honorable mention are Louis Jordan and Ray Charles our favorites. The lead vocals and piano work are performed by Joseph Magdalena, a San Francisco Bay area musician, who has been entertaining in clubs and hotels for the past 27 years. Joseph is the creator of the band and also writes all of the musical arrangements. The band is scored for two horns (trumpet and alto sax) and rhythm section (piano, bass, and drums), for a total of five musicians. |

Mood Swing's repertoire covers the big band classics of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Harry James, and Count Basie as well as the vocal stylings of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald and more MoodSwing performs regularly at clubs throughout the Bay Area such as the Claremont Resort, HiBall Lounge, Club Deluxe and has also provided musical entertainment at a variety of private venues such as Meadowood Resort, Niebaum-Coppola Winery, and Palo Alto Hills. |
